Blue Zeus: Legend of the Red Desert Calendar

This 2024 calendar features beautiful and moving photos by Carol of Blue Zeus – a wild pinto blue roan stallion who grew up on Crooks Mountain in the Red Desert Complex in Wyoming. He had a family of mares, yearlings and foals who he doted on until the Bureau of Land Management rounded them up with a helicopter in October, 2020 and separated them, sending them to a holding facility in Colorado. In June of 2021 Clare Staples rescued him and brought him to Skydog Sanctuary in Oregon where his story continues. Carol’s images capture the spirit, beauty and pride of this magnificent stallion.

Wild horses deserve to live out their lives in freedom on our public lands where they love and where they belong. The fight to keep them free goes on. Proceeds from the sale of these calendars help fund Carol’s efforts to keep America’s wild horses wild and free on our public lands.
