The lives and freedom of America’s wild horses and burros are at stake this week on Capitol Hill. The Senate will consider the Fiscal Year 2020 Interior Appropriations Bill at a subcommittee hearing tomorrow, Tuesday September 24th and at a full committee hearing on Thursday, September 26th.

This is the last day for you to call these key Senators to oppose funding for the dangerous Cattlemen’s plan that will destroy America’s wild free-roaming herds. If you do nothing else today, please pick up the phone now to contact the key Senators below. Tell them:

I am calling to ask the Senator to oppose funding in Fiscal Year 2020 Appropriations for the Cattlemen’s plan for America’s wild horses and burros. I do not want my tax dollars spent on cruel roundups that will result in the slaughter of our wild horses or on dangerous sterilization surgeries. Please do not give the BLM more money for their destruction of our wild horses. Thank you.

Senator Lisa Murkowski, (202) 224-6665 or (907) 271-3735
Senator Tom Udall, (202) 224-6621 or (505) 346-6791
Senator Susan Collins, (202) 224-2523 or (207) 780-3575
Senator Lindsay Graham, (202) 224-5972 or (803) 933-0112
Senator Marco Rubio, (202) 224-304, (305) 596-4224
Senator Patrick Leahy, (202) 224-4242 or (802) 863-2525
Senator Dianne Feinstein, (202) 224-3841 or (415) 393-0707
Senator Jeff Merkley, (202) 224-3753 or (503) 326-3386
Senator Chris VanHollen, (202) 224-4654 or (667) 212-4610

What states do you need to live in to call in as a constituent?

It does not matter what state you live in. The public lands in our country belong to all of us and we all, each of us in every state, have a say in how they are managed and how our wild horses are managed. The very small proportion of those who graze livestock on public lands, usually owned by huge corporations, should not be the only voice in managing our wild horses. Contact your Senators and your Representatives whenever you live.

Protect our lands that belong to us all and stop killing these beautiful creatures! This is disgraceful and wrong.

This is something that all of the people need to vote on, not an appointed head of management that knows nothing about what is good for public lands! We the people not we the government!
The government are employed by the people, not the other way around!

Protect & preserve our public land, native wild horses & burros, and what the American people want. Stop catering to special interests groups including ranchers who cheaply feed cattle on tax payers land. BLM has NOT managed these programs efficiently, effectively, kindly, or scientifically. Stop their reckless handling of our nation resources & precious animals. Oppose the cattleman’s bill that will destroy out iconic Mustangs, wildlife, & public land. These do not belong to ranchers, miners, or oil kings.

I called everybody on this list + Senator masto and Senator Cortez from Nevada today while sitting in the car waiting for my grandson’s to get out of school. Some offices you just pressed a number key and went right to their voicemail box other offices you got to speak to a real life person and make your comments and I was told that they would be forwarded to the senator. Very easy I was not put on hold and my calls were answered immediately great customer service

This needs to stop. Those horses are not bothering anyone. They have been there for years. It is very cruel and inhumane to interfere with these beautiful wild horses. Why? Greed and control. Let them be in the name of God. Stop!

Please stop allowing the blm to do want they want with our wild horses and burros. Please save them not destroy them. BLM has them rounded up and put in pen, some are still there . Their care is a joke. The foals are separate from their mare . These horses belong free. All this so cattlemen can claim the land for their own. Check out the law Congress passed in the 70 giving certain land to the wild horses. Every year the blm take more from their land. Please stop them. Our horses need your help. Please stand up for them. Thank you.

KEEP AND PROTECT THE WILD HORSES— they are living creatures trying to survive on an encroaching non-wild environment. They are a long-standing part of our American Heritage and what most people value as part of our wild environment… they are a part of our history; they are a living part of God’s creation; they need to be preserved for the future for ALL the above reasons— and, if nothing else, for the future appreciation by our grandchildren, great grandchildren, and beyond ‼️

When will humans wake up and stop murdering the innocent animals. Leave them alone as they have been for many years. The world is going to hell, with the cruelty.

Do not let this happen!! These animals are a symbol of the American west!!
These horses should not be killed, just for more, and more cattle to be able to graze.

Leave the wild horses and burrows alone ! They take care of themselves; they are wild. STOP funding such practices to alter their lives.
