Ep #55: Saying Goodbye but Still Fighting for the Salt Wells Creek Wild Horses
July 7, 2025
Today is the Call of the Wild, an opportunity for all of us to come together and make our voices heard.
Please spend just 10 minutes of your time on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to call your two U.S. Senators and your Member of Congress in the House of Representatives.
Here is where to call and what to say:
Call Your Two U.S. Senators and your House Representative through the Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121 or their offices. Or use these links below to find their direct lines.

Please ask them to:
1. Request that the FY2026 Appropriations Bills which are being worked on right now include a ban against the slaughter and killing of wild horses as previous bills have had in the past. There are over 64,000 wild horses and burros in holding facilities, and 10,000 more are scheduled to be rounded up and removed before October 1, 2025.
2. Reject the Privatization and Sale of America’s precious Public Lands, home to 3,000 species of wildlife, including our Wild Horses and Burros. The vast majority of Americans oppose the selling or closing of Public Lands, according to a 2025 poll.
Our wild horses and burros are counting on us. Please share!

I want some action to cease the brutal abusive and deadly acts of our Bureau of Land Management ongoing wild horse round ups !!
They have protection on the “books” that is constantly being ignored !!
These animals have the right to roam freely !!! There violated contraception projects have led to damage of ongoing breeds ! I don’t want to see them go extinct !!! Which is most likely what they are headed to !!! I want future generations to witness the animals that represent the building of our great country on their backs !!
Made the calls to my senators and representative today! Also shared the graphics on my Pinterest page.
