I decided to adopt Mica and so I contacted the Canon City staff and asked if they could identify him from my photos. When they confirmed he was there, I headed down to the adoption scheduled on December 7.

There he was, among hundreds of other weanlings who had been rounded up and separated from their mothers.

I filled out the paperwork, but had to wait until all the horses had their blood work done before I could have him delivered to Rich Scott’s place.
